Thank you for your interest in QR Codes. You probably arrived on this page from a link on the Cornwall Calendar page. The code you were looking at was created by us at GoScanGo for the Cornwall Calendar. Every event in the Calendar now has this Unique Code that links to the event page.
When scanned by a Smart Phone with a Scanning App the page on the Cornwall Calendar will be opened by the phone. This allows publishers of events to copy and publish the code and distribute where ever they can to promote their event.
Qr Codes were developed as long ago as 1994 by a subsidiarily of Toyota to allow the fast reading of Bar codes during car assembly. They are now very common used through Asia and becoming more and more common in marketing and communication in the USA and Europe.
